You sometimes wonder if they are talking to you or someone else behind you.

When you leave the country, you’ll miss people. When you come home, you’ll be talking about people you met. That’s the experience in Italy!
Now, if you are visiting Italy for the first time and would like to visit the popular destinations, most likely, you’d be covering parts or all of Rome, Florence/Tuscany, Venice, Milan, and the Amalfi coast towns. Vatican is also a must-see spot. Each town has its own unique highlights, history, art and landscape. Don’t forget, in Italy, eat like Italians do!!

You can certainly return to the destinations you visited the first time. I will assure you that you’ll find something new or something you did not see the first time.
The other way is to explore different destinations. Here are some ideas.

If you’d like to explore more coastlines that are as beautiful as the Amalfi coast, explore the rugged and unspoiled Cilento Coast, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can also enjoy a hike in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park.
For more inland experiences, the Umbria region has a lot to offer and is not far from popular tourist destinations. It’s a great extension for your first visit as well. You will see a masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture, discover the Byzantine-style mosaics, and immerse yourself in the ambiance of the Renaissance.
Don’t forget Sicily, it has its own culture and history. Their diverse cultural and culinary experiences offer you unforgettable memories.
